Predictability and repeatability are desirable expectations of most organizations. These concepts are highly related to that of a controlled process – one with results within well-known limits. Having a good set of controlled processes will guarantee an organization the benefit of a better performance not only in one or two projects, but in many of them. In a way, (project) success will not depend on a few individuals heroism but rather, it will be a function of how well the organization performs as a whole – its processes are optimized.
