Project Overview
Founded in 2016, Supirb set out to build a unique social network platform designed to create a dynamic community for sharing valuable wisdom and knowledge. After setbacks with their previous vendor, the company turned to LARION to fast-track the project. Our team delivered full-cycle development in just 6 months under the T&M model, using Ruby on Rails, HTML5, jQuery, and Bootstrap. Through close collaboration and focused execution, the team completed the platform 3 months ahead of schedule, accelerating Supirb’s market entry and helping attract key investors.
Challenge: Setbacks with Previous Vendor
As a startup, Suprib set out to differentiate itself as a social utility. Unlike traditional social networks centered around entertainment and networking, Suprib envisioned addressing the information overload dilemma through “Cards”—a unique format designed to share collective wisdom and knowledge.
However, challenges with their previous vendor led Suprib to seek a trusted technology partner who could take ownership of the platform’s development and bring their vision to life. Recognized for our proven technical expertise and experience in building complex, user-centric platforms, LARION was chosen to turn Suprib’s vision into reality.
Solution: Smart Social App
For the development of Supirb’s social platform, our team delivered full-cycle software development in just 6 months, following the Agile methodology under Time and Materials (T&M) model. A dedicated team of 7 specialists—comprising 4 developers, 2 testers, and 1 Scrum Master—worked closely together to bring the project to life
We built the solution with Ruby on Rails for the backend and HTML5, jQuery, and Bootstrap on the frontend, ensuring a modern, responsive, and high-performing application tailored to client requirements.
Key features of the platform include:
- Information card: Allows users can freely share information, knowledge or experience via cards instead of common formats like photos, posts or videos, with others commenting on the flip side to expand the discussion
- Tack wall: Users can conveniently pin useful cards to their collections and share with their friends
- My Sphere: Easily manage friend lists with functions like search, grouping and sending invitations
- Search: A powerful filter function which use specific criteria like locations or topics to help users find information
Result: Faster to Market, Faster to Grow
Through strong collaboration and efficient execution, the team completed the platform 3 months ahead of schedule, giving Supirb a significant head start in the market. The early launch not only accelerated their market entry but also showcased the platform’s potential, helping the company attract key investors and build momentum for future growth.
